The Executive Team of the Trust contains a wide range of skills, including Educational, Financial, Human Resources, Marketing, Governance and Legal expertise. Through this, a range of services are provided to all MAT schools to ensure they can focus on their core business of teaching and learning. The Trust team evaluates its offer and effectiveness each year and supplies additional services as required.
Chief Financial Officer: Gemma Kintas
Gemma has worked in finance and operations within the education sector since 2014, having previously worked in practice for 10 years. A Fellow Certified Chartered Accountant and member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, Gemma specialises in education specific accounting, operations and financial strategy.
Finance Manager: Alison Bealey
Alison has worked in finance in education since 2012. Qualified with the Association of Accounting Technicians, she has also previously worked in financial roles in the charitable and commercial sector, as well as in practice. Alison joined the Trust in January 2019.
Human Resources Director: Jane Lear
Jane has over 21 years’ experience working in school administration, finance and HR in both secondary and primary schools and was appointed as School Business Manager at Middleton Primary School in January 2013 and as HR Director for the Trust in November 2016.
Her responsibilities are for the management of the HR function across the Trust, including amalgamation and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a co-ordinated and consistent approach across all member schools. Jane also works closely with the Trust’s schools in relation to specific HR issues that may arise.
Safeguarding Lead: Rachel Cooke
Rachel has been teaching for 21 years. She completed her Geography Honours degree at Hull University, spent some time living in Toronto, Canada, and worked at Anglia Television in Norwich, before deciding to make teaching her career. Rachel completed her PGCE at Goldsmith's in London before moving to Milton Keynes. She has taught in four schools in the local area.
As well as Geography, Rachel has also taught History, Humanities, BTEC Workskills and RE. She has been at Oakgrove School since it first opened in 2005 and been part of the growth and success of the school. Her particular interest is in physical geography and she really enjoys travelling to amazing locations to see glaciers, mountains, rivers and natural environments around the world.
During her career, Rachel has taken on a variety of extra responsibilities including running after school clubs, being a Head of Year, Head of BTECs, SLE for Attendance, completing Ofsted Inspector training (PQSI), managing and leading on behaviour and safety.
Rachel is currently Senior Assistant Headteacher at Oakgrove School for Safeguarding and the Safeguarding Lead across the MAT.
Outcomes Lead: Nicola Irwin-Morris
Nicola has worked for the Trust as Outcomes Director since it was formed in 2016, she combines this role with being Senior Deputy Headteacher at Oakgrove School.
Nicola has expertise in Data analysis, tracking and monitoring, ASP (formerly RAISE online), and Curriculum. She works with the Headteachers of all the schools in the Trust to monitor standards and the achievement of pupils. Nicola also works on school development and self-evaluation and preparation for inspection.
Marketing and Communications Manager: Deborah Gerring
Deborah began her marketing career in London almost 30 years ago, working in the Metropolitan Police and in various government press offices. Since relocating from London, she has worked in communications for the Local Authority and, for the last 14 years, has been working in education. Deborah joined the Trust in 2018.
The centralised admissions and governor services team provide support to Directors, Governors, schools and parent/carers within the Trust on all admissions and governance related matters.
Admissions and Governor Services Manager: Julie Mason
Julie has worked in the education sector for over 15 years in a number of support roles, which have mainly covered all aspects of school admissions and governance. Since 2007 she has worked for Oakgrove School, Middleton Primary School and the Trust. She supported the Directors of the Kingsbridge Educational Trust when the Trust converted to become a multi academy trust and is clerk to the Board of Directors.
Admissions and Governor Services Assistant Manager: Julie Gale
Julie has been employed in education for 11 years, primarily at Oakgrove Secondary School. After working across many areas of the school, Julie has spent the last seven years in Governor Services and Admissions. She joined the Trust in 2016.
Julie is the Clerk to Governors for the Local Governing Body of Oakgrove School and the Finance, Audit, Human Resources Committee of the Trust.
Admissions and Governor Services Administrator: Vicky Reeves
Vicky has had a varied career to date, initially qualifying as an Architect and subsequently travelling around the world after six years at the University of Manchester. She transferred her skills to Business Analytics and worked in Sales Management Information for a global Insurance company, qualifying as a Financial Advisor along the way. Her next move was to the Pharmaceutical industry, where as an Application Specialist, she trained Field Sales Representatives to use Software and provided analytics to the Sales Management. She moved to the provider of the software to run their Training and Helpdesk function and spent a few years travelling around the UK and Europe delivering training to all levels of Pharmaceutical companies.
Family commitments prompted a decision to work term time only with a role at a newly opened school as an administrator. From there Vicky moved to her most recent role at the Local Authority in the Education Access Team as Coordinator for Secondary school admissions. She joined the KET team at the beginning of November 2017.
