Monkston Primary School

Monkston Primary School first opened in 2001. It is a very special community, in which pupils and staff feel challenged to contribute at the highest level and feel valued for their efforts. The school is determined to provide the very best pastoral care and the very best learning opportunities for all pupils as they progress through our school; working in strong partnership with parents and carers.

Monkston believes in a 'heart and soul' approach to teaching and caring for children. They really do want to make a positive, tangible impact on society through helping their children develop into enthusiastic, honest, compassionate and responsible UK and global citizens.

During the school's Ofsted inspection in November 2021, inspectors judged Monkston Primary to be a good school. They said:

"Pupils relish the challenges of the school’s interesting and varied curriculum. They enjoy learning and are particularly keen to take part in the wide range of trips, clubs and visits on offer...All members of the school community are valued and cared for. One pupil said that even when they have left the school, they ‘will always be part of the Monkston family."
