Abundant Opportunities Ahead for Oakgrove’s Class of 2022

A Levels 2022 - Oakgrove School 7

18 August 2022

Oakgrove students have been rewarded with exciting offers of university places and vocational opportunities on A Level results day.

Nine students achieved three grades at A* and results were hugely impressive at all levels across the range of subjects. Students will leave Oakgrove to study subjects such as Law, Mathematics and Biological Science at prestigious universities and colleges in America and in the UK. These include University College London, Birmingham, Warwick and Imperial College.

Data Science at Aiimi, in conjunction with the new MK:U and Public Health at Brent Council are the next steps for two Oakgrove students, as they embark on degree apprenticeships.

As the first year group since 2019 to sit externally marked A Level examinations and complete coursework without a full two years in attendance at school, Oakgrove’s students should be applauded for their steadfast resilience and perseverance, said Headteacher, Ian Tett.

Their results are a huge achievement and are reflected in their well-deserved future destinations. We wish them well in their new endeavours.

Today’s success would not have been possible without the unwavering encouragement and guidance from Oakgrove’s sixth form and careers team and without the partnership and support from parents, carers and governors.
