A superb 92% of Oakgrove students have achieved GCSE grades 9 – 4 in English and an impressive 82% in Mathematics. The attainment 8 score of 54 is a measure of the fantastic achievement of students in eight qualifications and the overall pass rate of 84% across all subjects, surpasses the national average.

Tremendously proud of the students’ achievements, Oakgrove’s Headteacher Ian Tett said:

“These GCSE grades recognise the ability, dedication and hard work that students at Oakgrove applied to their studies. They can be assured that for each subject the school fairly and impartially submitted centre assessed grades based on a range of performance evidence across the entire course.

“Since the end of March, it has been an extremely unsettling time for students, and I applaud them for adapting so quickly to the changes in their everyday school life. They had to become accustomed to being educated virtually, get used to not having daily interactions with their peer groups and had to cope with so much uncertainty in the lead up to receiving their GCSE results.

“I am delighted that an exceptionally high number of students will be continuing their studies with us, which is testament to the reputation of Oakgrove’s sixth form. We look forward to welcoming them back in September, alongside the new external post-16 students.”
